Mountain West Engaged Scholars Summit

Mountain West Community Engaged Scholars Summit
University of Northern Colorado
October 20th, 2016

CCMW is currently accepting proposals for the Summit poster session. The poster session will run from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. The poster session is an excellent opportunity for members of the higher education community to share information about community issues and community engaged teaching, learning and research through 1) class presentations on community engaged projects, 2) presentations on your own engaged teaching, learning and research, 3) participation in mini round table sessions about pressing community issues. Students, community, faculty, student affairs and other presenters will disseminate information either via tri-fold poster display, handout, demonstration, laptop display, and/or another means fitting on half of a 2’ x 6’ table. There will also be poster display stands available. Please note that there will not be any multi-media AV equipment available. Presenters are responsible for all presentation, display, and demonstration materials. A handout or some other instructive/informative materials or take away is recommended. Wireless internet will be available.

Here at CCMW we are tasked with “leading the evolution of the engaged campus,” but what does that mean? What better way to tell the story of engagement than by looking at an example of an engaged student. We would like to introduce you to Melissa Tilleman, a recent graduate of the University of Wyoming (UW), to help tell the story of how CCMW supports a campus in creating opportunities to produce engaged students.

Behold the power of service.
