WEBINAR: Building Institutional Capacity for Service-Learning: The Engaged Faculty Institute Curriculum

Facilitators: Katie Kleinhesselink and Stephanie Schooley, Campus Compact of the Mountain West

Description: Campus Compact of the Mountain West (CCMW), in partnership with California Campus Compact and Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH), redesigned an existing CCPH faculty development toolkit and published the Engaged Faculty Institute (EFI) Curriculum in 2015. The EFI Curriculum is a comprehensive resource based on high-impact service-learning pedagogy and practice and includes case studies and best practices from campuses across the country. During this webinar CCMW staff will introduce the EFI Curriculum and the train-the-trainer model CCMW has employed for campus-based faculty development. Join us to learn more about this valuable resource to expand high-quality service-learning at your institution!

Time: This one hour and 15 minute webinar will be held at 12 pm Pacific, 1 pm Mountain, 2 pm Central and 3 pm Eastern time.

Cost: This webinar is *FREE for all Compact Members and costs $75 for non-Compact Members.

(*Compact Members please note: After you register for the webinar, you will be taken to a page requesting payment.  You do not need to go any further in the registration process as your participation is free, so just close the window and your registration is confirmed.)

Here at CCMW we are tasked with “leading the evolution of the engaged campus,” but what does that mean? What better way to tell the story of engagement than by looking at an example of an engaged student. We would like to introduce you to Melissa Tilleman, a recent graduate of the University of Wyoming (UW), to help tell the story of how CCMW supports a campus in creating opportunities to produce engaged students.

Behold the power of service.
